how to "sand" the edges off glass shelf divider

(Reposting here per suggestion from another poster)

I have a new glass door cabinet that came with 4 glass shelf dividers. Two middle ones are 1/16" too wide. This is the IKEA cabinet which I assembled and installed. The glass shelf size should be standard but I may have screwed the cabinet a little too tight.

What tool can I use to "sand" or "file" the glass shelves one edge off 1/16"?

can't you just unscrew the screws a bit, slide the shelf in, and then tighten them back down but not as hard this time??

A belt sander with an 80 grit silcone carbide belt can do it. Take Annette's advice and let up on the screws or go back to Ikea and tell them your problem.
