Novice question. I have a 6 lb. wall mirror that I plan to hang on drywall. The back of the mirror has two metal brackets, as pictured, that seem to suggest the use of a particular type of wall fastener. Does anyone know what sort of fastener to use to hang these brackets to drywall? The mirror weighs less than 10 lbs.
I was wanting to add a light switch box next to another switch box in my bathroom. The problem is that there's mirror on the wall. So how do you even cut a rectangular hole in a mirror?
One option is to just take this small section of mirror out and have a craftsman cut exactly what I need. The section is about 1 foot by 4 feet.
UPDATE: I just watched this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21bgTTT8VFg
This would seem hard to do unless I remove the glass from the wall first.
So a friend had a cooking stone in hand and went thru my sliding door thinking it was closed. Left a 3 inch scratch. Its not terribly noticeable but I can feel it with my fingernail. Wondering if there is anything that might fix this, less replacing the glass? For example, I know they sell the automotive glass fixes. Not sure if anything like that would actually work or just make it worse. Thanks in advance
