Can someone please answer the question about the tabletop glass. I am planning on ordering a glasstop for the polished table. Is there anything can be done to protect the surface of the table from being scratch by the glass? If there is such a need. Also what is recommended thickness of the glass so it does not break easily and the same not too heavy?

Thanks for the advice.

1/4" is standard for covering a full table. 3/8 or 1/2 works better on a frame only table. The glass company should stock small clear plastic discs that will sit on the table beneath the glass.
