Trimming a wall mirror

I'm replacing my water damaged vanity in the guest bathroom. In order to install the new vanity I need to trim 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of the wall mirror. Is this possible? Or- should I call my insurance guy and tell him to send me more money to replace the entire mirror?

If the mirror is glued to the wall then call your insurance guy......If it is on clips then it can be taken down and cut with a glass cutter.
