These new green bags are a big rip off! They are 10 times weaker & cost 100 times more $$.

But if they are better for the world we live in, isn't ok to pay a bit extra. Thats the problem. no body wants to pay the price for the enviroment. if we don't pay now. we will all pay for it latter.

What is a GREEN BAG? Are you talking about those veggie storage bags?
Lawn bags? reusable grocery bags? Oh wait - you mean bio degradable garbage bags don't you?

Maybe the ones he got had already started to biodegrade before he used them
If you are talking leaf bags, why not just compost the leaves. I drive by a lot of hoity toity homes and pick up bags and bags of leaves after they rake them up. Bring 'em home and dump them in my garden plot. Hey! They're using contractor bags.....not fair!

In the U.S., some people just use colored recycled plastic for outward appearance (GREEN).
If they are recycled, they will be weaker. Same thing with paper. It seems to have something to do with the structure of the material or the recycling processes.
