Leveling a shed
I saw a similar post here but my circumstances are different so I thought I'd do a post of my own.
I have a small shed in the back yard (4' x 12') which was made many years ago. It sits on a concrete slab but that slab has sunk significantly on one side over the years.
I'm not sure of the exact amount that is has sunk but the low side seems to be about 2 inches low.
I removed everything from the shed, removed the nuts from the bolts that anchor the shed to the foundation and lifted the low side up as high as the anchor bolts would allow. Problem is..that its not enough. I think I need about an additional 1"-1 1/2" above what the anchor bolts will allow.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong here. I pretty much just lifted the low side at the base of the wall and then re-tested for level. Is there something else that I should be doing to get the walls and beams level?
perhaps someone can suggest a whole different method for leveling the shed. Lifting the low side was the only thing I could think of, myself.
Some kinda of extension to the existing anchor bolts would be ideal but I'm not sure if that kind of thing is available.

I would be really hesitant about lifting the plates off of the slab. The "BEST" solution would be to have a mudjacker come in and raise the entire slab back to level. (get quotes first -- after all, this IS only a shed.) Might be cheaper to disassemble the shed, get rid of the old slab, pour a new one, and reinstall the shed.
