clean vinyl windows in 3 season sunroom
#1

My 3 season sunroom windows are all cloudy on the outside and sticky like tree sap... Won't come clean. From the inside looking out its terrible..
Tried cleaning the normal way which should have worked but didn't...Even tried a special spray cleaner specifically for vinyl windows, that didn't help.
Next will try the old 50/50 white vinegar & water mix...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you... Bob ( coldbeer)

STOP!!!!
Are you dealing with glass or plastic glazing??
If this is a vinyl frame with glass glazing, then any glass cleaner (i.e. Windex) will work fine.
But if you are dealing with a plexiglas or lexan glazing, then a glass cleaner like Windex -- or anything with amonia in it -- will DESTROY the glazing. What you need to use is Mac Guire's Plastic cleaner. Go to a marine supply store or a paint shop. They can set you right up. Don't waste your time going to a Lowe's or HD -- they don't have it, and have never heard of it.

Vinyl window cleaning
Just finished cleaning 40 window panels on my sun room--tried 3 different methods--soaking in Woolite rinsing and drying. Same but polishing with PlastX. Both methods left streaks. Then I tried removing dust with vacuum cleaner (soft brush), applying Woolite (undiluted) with a damp sponge (circular motion), rinse with running water, dry thoroughly with towel. Last method worked very well and with less work.
