building treehouse

I'm building a small tree house for the kids- I have it framed out with treated 2x4's. I want to use plywood for the sides attached to the studs. One sheet of treated plywood is pretty expensive- Can I use regular plywood and paint with exterior paint? I just can't see spending a ton of $$$ on pressure-treated plywood for something that is under the tree anyway- Will good exterior paint be enough to protect it for the short term?

It'll do just fine, as long as you maintain the paint.
