how to build a green house

I was thinking about building a greenhose some thing around 10x10. Anybody have ideas on what to use for glass. Was thinking about using lexan but thought it might turn yellow over time. also anybody have some plans. thanks

Most acrylic will yellow as far as I know but polycarbonate should not. I would look for the polycarbonate panels made just for greenhouses. They are available in double and triple wall and various thicknesses. Try doing a search for "polycarbonate greenhouse panels" and you should find them.

You will find Lexan is more expencive then if you install new constrution windows.
Just Google green house plans and hundreds of sites come up.
The tricky part is having a way to vent it through the roof if it gets to hot.

green house

The only thing about using glass windows is the structure I'd like to build will be taken apart in the summer and put together in the late fall or early spring. I/d like to make the structure in a modular form.

I would consider a pre made kit. It will have the clear panels and since they ship disassembled they are designed to come apart into manageable pieces.
