build a greenhouse with pvc

Hi,

I'm thinking using pvc pipe to build a greenhouse. Anybody know where can I buy 3/4'' 20feet pvc pipe in Canada Vancouver(BC) area?
homedepot in canada only provide 3/4'' 10feet pipe and ask for >C$10, homedepot in usa provide 3/4'' 20feet pipe and only ask for about U$4.

I don't think I can take 20feet pipe back to canada with my small car.

Anybody know where can I get a good deal in local area? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

You might try a local plumbing supply store.

Like Marksr mentioned 20ft pieces should available from any plumbing supplier that deals more with contractors. People who drive trucks. Most big box home improvement stores cater to happy homeowners so things are ofen packaged or cut into smaller, more transportable sizes.

Also, keep in mind that PVC is not a structural item. It can be used to make small items but it can sag considerably if spanning much distance unsupported.

Thanks for response.
Sorry I don't know any other plumbing store except homedepot and rona in Canada Vacouver area.

Finally I drove to Bellingham(usa) and bought 20 3/4''x10' pvc back. $2.14 each. plus a connector which costs 0.27c. Compare to $10.59 each in hopedepot canada, I saved >$160.

I can start to build my greenhouse now! thanks.
