Enclosing a well and water storage tank in shed?

So my wife and I just built a home in New Braunfels, TX and I would like to build a shed around my wellhead, pressure tank, and water storage tank. The storage tank is a 3,000 gallon tank so it is quite large. Where I am having trouble figuring out is what to do for a foundation? Since have a shed floor is not necessary, Iím not quite sure what would be strong enough for a foundation or support for the structure. Any recommendation would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

Size of the structure is needed.

My first thought is build it like a pole barn. So the poles lasted longer use galvanized steel corner fence posts. The floor if you wanted one could be concrete pavers.

Ray's pole barn suggestion would be the easiest/cheapest. The shed shouldn't need a floor to make the structure stable. You could pour a footer and block up a foundation building it like you would a house - just no floor. Back when I had a well I built a shed around it, later expanding it into a shop. it had a block foundation and wood stud walls. It went several yrs with nothing but a dirt floor until I poured concrete. The only concern with enclosing it all is if the well pipe ever has to be pulled.

I didn't worry about when I built mine although I did make sure the well was more/less centered between rafters. I figured the roof could be patched when/if that day comes ..... and I moved over 25 yrs ago

Thanks everyone. Iím not even sure on the size I would need at this point but it will be a good size considering the water storage tank. I appreciate the suggestions and will go with the pole barn. I think that will be the easiest for my budget of this build. Thanks again!
