Shed pad construction question

I just finished the rock pad for my shed project. Should I place cement blocks (as pictured below) to rest the skids on or just put them directly on the rocks.

Sheds that are on grade or close to it will not fare well due to mold, mildew, and siding that is too close to the ground. Get it as high as you reasonably can to allow airflow and to keep the siding at least 6" above grade.

What are you doing to hold back the soil where you excavated? How far are you keeping the shed away from the dirt cliff?

Well to answer both questions

1 I was thinking of using the cement blocks as I pictured for a footing and I am using 4x4 skids to build the deck on.

so that would raise the shed about 6”-8” above the grade.

2. The shed will be about 6” to 12” away from the back hill. I will also be placing cinder block agains the hill.

thanks
