Rusted nuts

Rusted nuts
I need to remove some small bolts from a pool deck. The nuts are rusted. How would I go about this? The space to work in is very tight. Some one told me about a "nut cracker" but the only one I've seen is from the autoparts store and is way too big. Any suggestions?

Rusted nuts
If you have a Napa auto parts close, get a can of their penetrating oil...I had some timbers that were bolted together, and had been for over 100 years, and I couldn't budge them, a squirt of the penetrating oil and they came off in just a minute or so, and came off like a new bolt!

Cut the bolts and/or nuts
If the penetrating oil doesn't work you might try using a Dremel type rotary tool with a small cut off wheel. Cut the nut if you can and it should loosen enough to come off, especially if the penetrating oil had hit it!
