Unhappy squeaking floors

we just bought a house and the floors in spots under the carpet are squeaking when we step on them. I don't want to lift up the carpet to nail the subflooring down. We have a crawlspace under the house where you can almost walk under it . I would like to know if there is someway from under the house we can fix these floors without tearing up the carpet. Thanks JLane

Their are 2 things I have seen that works for this problem. 1 is called Squeeeeek no more. It comes with screws, a bit and guide. You find the squeak, place the guide down and install the screw. After the screw is installed, remove the guide, turn it on its side and break the head of the screw off! The other works from underneath. You screw a piece to the subfloor, and a piece to the floor joist. the tighten the two pieces. They can both be found at your local box store, so good luck

Check under tools

Look at the "Squeek No-More" review that I posted in the tools section.
