Mirrored Closet Doors

One of the bedrooms in my home has 3 mirrored closet doors trimmed in a dull brass(?) or metal. The doors are 90" high x 48" wide. They were manufactured by a Monarch Mirror Door Co of Chatsworth, CA. There is no listing in the Los Angeles area for that company at this time.
The trim includes a 2 1/2" molding, with tracks, at the ceiling, and tracks mounted to the floor. The mirrors are trimmed in brass on all four sides and the handles are also brass. The doors have plastic wheels to run on the tracks. The top tracks are simply for guiding the doors.
Recently I saw a TV home improvement show where they remodeled the mirrors by removing the brass and replacing it with wood. However, it did not appear to be a simple task.
I have two questions:
1. Are there manufactured kits available to convert the door trim to wood?
2. Are there companies that offer this type service?

Exclamation Re: Glass Door Framing

Your best approach, to either find out about after market kits or a company to customize the doors for you, would be to contact a glass specialist. There are many glass companys listed in the yellow pages, try to find one that specializes in mirrrors, interrior designs or windows & doors. These companys may also be able to help you contact the company who made your doors.

Good Luck!

First, get in touch with the company (web site listed below) - they may have the solution ready to install...

That was 5 years ago, so I hope they got it fixed by now. Anyway, not a good idea to put your email on the forum, and you can't advertise, anyway, so you'll get zapped pretty soon.
