Fasteners

Hi. I was wondering. I have a fireplace that appears to have a stone facade. If I want to hang my christmas stockings on it, what type of fastener should I use and how must it be secured. We tried those super stick hooks, but my sons just pulled them down. I would like to use something a little more permanent and stable. Any ideas??

You might try a plastic anchor and screw combination. How well any fastener will hold depends upon how thick the facade is.

Hope this helps.

A hole for the plastic anchor should be drilled into the surface. I would choose a spot in the mortar line for the installation. Just personal preference, because in real stone, the mortar line is softer for drilling than the stone face is.

Hope this helps.
