Brads, Tacks, et al
Can someone please tell me the difference between wire nails, brads and tacks. I've looked on the net for this but couldn't find any definitions.

Sometimes the difference is individual terminology. Some call a brad a nail or a brad based upon experience.
Here are some links to show the variations. This may help clear this in your mind.

It appears to me that brads are like small finish nails, with a beveled head, while wire nails are like regular nails with a flat head. Tacks, I guess, are just tacks.
Thanks.
