Question Need To Know The Name Of A _____!?!?!

Hey guys,

I'm going to be putting together a lap desk shortly and got stuck at one part. I want to make the desk top adjustable and do not know how i am going to do it. They way i have it draw up is for the legs to all be the same length (around 11-12") and for the top to lay flat. What i had pictured in my mind was to get the medal adjustable peices i see on my art desk and such. The way this product works after it is installed is you would grab the desk top and pull up on the farthest side from you and it would click into place... if you wanted it a little higher you would pull up and it would click into a new slot... and so on... then when you wanted to put it back down completely you have to pull the farthest end all the way up and then let it fall back into its original space... IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT OR ANY OTHER OPTIONS TO MAKE A DESK TOP ADJUSTABLE SO THERE IS AN ANGLE PLEASE!! HELP!!

You're making a draftsman's table, but on a lap desk?

Something like that with legs and those metal adjuster things on the back of the movable top?

On a drafting table, they are called a "tilt angle mechanism" but could not locate just this part in online searches.
