Changing brass to chrome finish

Changing brass to chrome/nickel finish
Is there a way, any spray or polish to convert the brass (gold) polished fixtures to chrome/nickel finish. We just bought a house and the door knobs, hinges, electrical plates all are in brass finish which we don't like.
Instead of changing all those, I was wondering if there is any easier, faster and cheaper way to change the finish.
Thanks

Not really, not that I can think of
You would have to take them off and take them to a re-chroming place (auto restoration)
Then put them back on
It's no easier or faster, and I'm guessing not cheaper than buying new ones
I've used a few of the "chrome" finishes in rattle cans, and the finish is not too bad on the more expensive ones (not too good on most though), but again you must take them off and re-install them
I don't know how much it would end up costing
It might be OK on the hinges, if you could get it to stick to brass, but I would worry about how it would hold up on the switchplates and doorknobs
The stuff I've used I would say it wouldn't hold up to that much handling
Hmmmm....maybe try one door's knobs and hinges and see how it goes?
