Step on door holder?
Have a double door leading to one of my shop rooms. I have installed a dead bolt and locking door hardware. I can just pull the door open.
I recall a type of plunger unit that installs on one door base that goes into the concrete to hold it stable. You can step on it to release the door.
I do not know the name and all search on the internet does not produce what I am looking for.
Anyone familiar with this type gadget that can put a name on it and lead me to a source?? Thanks so much!

Yeah, we have them on our main doors at our church. They are called kickdown plungers. The bottom one operates with your foot, and the upper one has a pull chain on it. I tried to locate it on my HD program, but they didn't show it.

Thanks guys! I've been to Home Depot, Loews and several hardware stores plus searched the web with no real success.
Searching "kickdown plunger locks" on my computer takes me to several inactive sites . I will keep searching! Will try a couple of local hardware stores tomorrow!

No chains, you step on a latch to release it

Thanks slickshift! Footbolt at DIY will get the job done. There is a chain operated unit that works from the top of the door I will have to search for that!
Appreciate all the leads!
