My cheap drafting lamp came with a cheap base. How can I make one - like a lump of concrete with a center hole? The one I have is a plastic shell filled with Chinese sand - but the plastic hole in the middle cracked and so the lamp wanders around in the base. I also have another one that has a clamp for a tabletop. It's so flimsy that the lamp is unstable - any kind of clamp from the hardware store that would work? I use my lamp for beading, and hubby uses his for computer hardware repair. So mine can have a base on a table, but his would work best attached to wall or tabletop. Don't want to spend much $ on cheap lamps! Help appreciated! Thanks, Dimly Lit
