Question HELP, I'm stuck and can't get it out!

I was changing the drain valve on my hot water heater and the pipe (plastic) broke off at the opening. How can I get the remaining pipe out without damaging the threads in order to put in the new drain valve?

Can you get a hold of the pipe with a chisel/screwdriver and get it to turn?

I'm sure by now you have solved your problem but if not... put a hack saw blade in the pipe and cut it down to the threads. Then take a screw driver and pry the plactic out.
