Need some help in understanding how to use a rivet gun with threaded inserts... DETAILS PLEASE or source on internet to refer to ...

Thanks for that link, Chandler. I bought a set from Harbor Freight a while back but they have since discontinued it. Now I at least have a source for more nuts.

Nicholas, I don't know what exactly you are asking, is it how do the threaded inserts work or how are they installed or what? The rivet gun tool uses a threaded mandrel that holds the insert. You screw the insert to the mandrel (in the tool) and then put the insert in the hole of the material (usually sheet metal) and squeeze the handle of the tool to cause a "bulge" in the insert that holds it in place. Once the bulge is created the mandrel is unscrewed from the insert.
