Rivet nut threads

The other day, I bought a rivet gun, that will set threaded rivets. I though it would be just the thing, to replace the broken ones on my storm door. I should have read the reviews before I bought it. The storm door is fixed, but if I need to fix anything else I am stuck. HF, where I bought the rivet gun, doesn't sell replacement rivet, and the review points that out. And I can't seem to find them on line, unless I buy 100's of them at a time. Does any body know where I can get them maybe 20 or so at a time.

Several months ago Chandler posted a website that had the rivet nuts. I don't recall if they sold them in small quantities but the cost was low enough that buying in 100 piece lots wasn't that steep.

Maybe he can remember where it was or I can go through my 97 gazillion bookmarks and find it.

For what it's worth, I also bought that HF tool and a few months later found the nuts on a close-out at one of my local HF stores. I should have bought them at the time but...

I found this:

rivet nuts, rivnuts, threaded inserts, avk rivet nuts

Still 100 piece quantities but the prices are not outrageous.

Furd, thanks for the information, it worked to be a lot more then a 100. You needed to spend a minimum dollar amount to get it shipped. I will check out the link you sent.

Try Aircraft Spruce. They sell rivnuts individually.
