I was in Ace today to buy some 12-24 fasteners, a size used in a lot of telco racks. They only had about six varieties of 12-24 in the store, three different panheads, three different countersunk. The had exactly one type of nut. Contrast to probably fifty different varieties of 10-24, of 10-32, and of 1/4-20... By the way, apparently I make an impression... The Ace near our current home is part of the same franchise as the one near the previous home was, and a lady who transferred from that store to this one remembered me. It has been more than two years since I was last in that other Ace... You know you're going to the hardware store too much when the clerk remembers you from their old store...

I'm mounting a 51 pound TV on tongue and groove panel with 3 inch lag bolts. One of the studs I need to use is behind a groove. Is it a problem if I use that stud and have a gap of about 5/16th between the bracket and the groove? Thanks
