I am using three sizes of lagbolts: 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch and 1 inch. What size do I predrill for these diameter bolts? Do I predrill the same depth for the entire length of these bolts?

Mike:

The pilot hole for each should be the diameter of the shaft (not including the threads.

On these three sizes that would be about 1/8" less than the nominal size of the bolt.

This is assuming you're using these bolts in wood. If you're using them in concrete or other material that requires a shield, the shield will tell you the size hole to drill.
