Craftsman chainsaw wont stay running

My craftsman chainsaw will crank up and run while the choke is out but as soon as I pull the gas trigger, it cuts off. Recently I put new gas lines on it. The chainsaw is a 358.350600. I'm not sure if I got the gas lines exactly right but I put them on the way they came off. If you looking at the chainsaw from behind it, the gas line I hooked up on the right side of the carb goes straight to the gas tank and has a gas filter on that line. The line hooked up on the left side of the carb goes to the primer bulb that is labeled carb. And the other hook up to the primer bulb goes to the tank. That is how I have it hooked up right now. I hope that is the correct way. Please help.

Most likely it's the carburetor that needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
