Antique Brass Hinge Question

I have resurrected some circa 1900, S.W. brand, 3 x 1-1/4 solid brass hinges and they are "wrong handed" for my application. The pins would have to be inserted from the bottom up instead of top down. One of the leafs has a brass ball that matches the ball on the pin. Anyone know if these balls can be removed and reattached, or do I just see if they will work upside down?

Have you got a picture? I am not following the right and left handed issue. Are the hinges of different dimensions on each side? Normal hinges would just change which side the door was on but the hinge would stay in the same orientation.

I think those caps are removable but like Z said, you can reverse which side of the hinge attaches to the door/jamb and not have to mess with the caps.

Thanks

I realized that I could just reverse which leaf attached to the door/jamb. Felt kind of dumb for asking. I have a lot of senior moments.
