Broken Screw

Hi all - I was replacing a rivet for my folding attic ladder and stupidly used a screw instead of a bolt and the screw snapped in half. What would be the best tool or method to extract the broken screw. The head of the screw snapped off and the body of the screw is flush. It's flush to the metal part not a piece of wood. Thanks

If it's lightly in the hole you can use a punch or a nail and drive the screw out of the hole. If that doesn't work drill it out.
