Need help finding slotted metal plate

Hello All,

I am trying to create a moveable "arm" that is able to move back and forth and rotate etc. In order to do this I need what i thought was a simple piece. I've attached a picture of my crude attempt to make this but I need something mroe professional! Basically a square piece of metal with two lines going down the middle. I walked around Home Depot for hours and can't seem to find something like this! I am really hoping someone might have an idea! Picture attached. Thanks so much!

Size is about 2 inches by 1 inch or so. Looking for something pretty thin (a few millimeters)

Some brands of heavy duty suspenders have something similar that is used to adjust suspender length.
One of those might work for you.

Not exactly what you want, but if the size is right you could cut off the extra hole:

Any adjustable car roof rack strap or belt safety strap will have the save thing. Some auto battery hold down straps also have this.

It looks similar to plates I used in the past. Try googling "car alarm pin switch bracket".
