Screws for metal sawhorse attached to door?

I'd like to attach the pictured metal sawhorses to a solid core door. What type of screws or bolts would I use?

Thanks for any help.

Solid core. I would use a standard wood screw and counter sink the head.

I would probably use carriage bolts and counter bore the heads.

Ummm, have to ask, why attach them? You're turning an easily portable set-up into a semi-stationary workbench that needs tools to move.

Spray glue some of that heavy duty shelf liner stuff to the tops of the horses to prevent sliding, if that' the concern. Or screw some cleats to the door, so you could still just lift it off.

If you really want to attach it. I'd probably just use 4-6 truss head screws up through each horse into the door.

Screws

#10 or #12 wood screws installed from the underside of the saw horse. Make sure the length of screws is such that the screws will not come through on the top side of the door. Is this going to be a folding table?

I will disagree with Wirepuller on this. Wood screws have an unthreaded shank for a third of their length. They are made for joining two boards. For thin metal to wood you need a sheet metal screw and in this case a washer.

You could always screw some super-magnets to the door, assuming the sawhorse is steel. Or you could slather some Orangutan Ooze on the sawhorse.

But seriously, what's your application? It could have a huge bearing on the answer.

Screws

Ray is correct. You need screws with a fully threaded shank. My bad.
