Bostitch staple gun only blowing out air
I'm trying to use this to staple screening to a patio door.
I secure the staple gun tight to the screen , put pressure on it, and squeeze the trigger.
I hear the exploding sound like a staple went through but all it is is an impression in the wood where the air hit.
(Fully loaded with staples).
Defective stapler?

Might be jammed. Dump all the staples out. Can you see the tip of the driver as you pull the trigger? Or is there a staple smashed inside? Using the right staples for the stapler?
Bostich staplers usually use only bostitch staples. Not t-50's.

It's not air. It's the actual hammer or driver in the front of the gun that is supposed to pick up a staple on it's way down. With no staple it will overshoot it's normal travel and leave that impression.
I agree, jam, wrong staples, or you've got it loaded wrong. That one takes T-50 or Stanley TRA-700 staples.
