Fastener for Horizontal Pole
Hi, first time poster. Hope I'm in the right forum.
I'm part of a travelling theatre troupe and we have a tent that we perform in that is in a Victorian Era theme.
Part of my job is set design and I have a horizontal metal pole from which I want to hang a light fixture (wall sconce). I need to be able to attach and remove the fixture so solutions that mount it permanently won't work.
I've tried various approaches but none of them are able to support the weight. For example I've tried zap straps as well as ring clamps. The issue is that the weight of the fixture causes it to swing downwards throwing off the angle. I could put a bolt through the pole but I'd prefer not to if possible.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,

Welcome to the forums.
I fasten lights to poles routinely. I use lighting clamps.
