Metal Stud and articulating arm

Hi am looking at installing a 20-30" tv with an articulating mount that pulls out away from the wall. The mount has two holes that are meant to go in one stud. I was thinking I would use toggle bolts through the steel stud.
Any thoughts on if this is a good idea?
Thanks!

No..... it's not a good idea.

You need to spread the weight out. If it was a standard non moving wall mount..... you could wing it with toggle bolts. In your case you'd need to screw a board to two metal studs and attach to that board.

Thanks for the input. It's meant to be mounted on one stud, is similar to. Otherwise will have to rethink.

Something like that really ought to have a solid wood reinforcement put inside the metal stud. If you don't mind doing some drywall repair you could cut open the wall and go that route.
