Best way to remove almost stripped screw
What would be the best way to remove this almost stripped screw from the bottom of my refrigerator door? It protrudes about 1/2 inch, but I cant get a grip on it with a pliers or grippy ratchet set, and the slot seems about to be completely stripped and wont provide enough torque to unscrew?
Thanks much

OK, let me ask....... is it the head that's almost stripped...... or is it the threads, that's almost stripped?

Apply the vise grips perpendicular to the screw shaft to get a better grip on the rim of the screw head.

First of all, make sure you have a Philips screwdriver that was a very good bit. Not all bits are equally "grippy." I have an ancient Stanley that's my go-to because I know from experience it tends to 'bite' when other drivers don't.
Then use the rubber band trick. Be sure to press harder than you're twisting.
