Robertson/square drive between R1 and R2?

I have a Kraloy PVC conduit body and the cover has screws with a combination slotted and square drive.

I know these drive types have been around for a long time, but I recently tried a square drive R1 and it was too small and the R2 was too large. The R2 went in part way (they're tapered) but not enough to get a good grip.

What is the square drive that fits these screws?

I thought it was a #2 bit.

If it's the head that I'm thinking you have, that's called Pozidrive. The proper bit is a Pozi bit.

Edit: oh, slotted. I see PJ's photo... yeah that should be S2.

I thought a Pozidrive had four points like a Phillips. The screws I have only have two, like a flat blade screwdriver.

As noted, the square in the screw head and drive bit are tapered. I doubt the screw manufacturers check every screw/drive bit for out of tolerance tapers so some defective make their way to the consumer. Take the #1 drive bit and grind away the tip until it fits without bottoming or grind the flats on a #2 drive bit until it fits and bottoms.
