Hi, one side of my bathroom towel rack is very loose and is falling off the wall. Can you suggest how to better fasten it to the wall? Do I need to tighten the screw on the bottom of the rack? What type of screwdriver do I need for this? Thank you
Is the chrome fixture just loose or is the whole bracket loose? Get a small Allen head wrench (of the correct size) and remove or loosen the screw. This will allow you to remove the chrome piece. Then you will know if the bracket is also loose.
If it is not, then just reattaching the fixture and tighten the Allen head screw.
If the bracket is loose, then you need to re-install the bracket with a molly bolt of some sort. And that will depend on how bad the bracket is unattached or falling out of the wall.
I would suspect the set screw holding the chrome piece is loose and tighten that first. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you remove that piece and fix the bracket attachment to the wall.
i'm trying to replace an axle with something more durable that can handle a weight capacity of around 175lb (more if possible)
the diameter needs to be 5/16 (possibly 6/16), the length of the axle has to be 20" - 22" (20" preferable), and it must have side holes for placing cotter pins into.
i've searched the net and had no luck, so if anybody knows the gear i'm looking for that would be great
thanks in advance
What do I need to remove it?
