Unhappy

I am trying to reinstall metal bathtub moulding strips. They go around the top of the metal tub fasteners. I had to take them off to refinish the tub and shower. The were originally fastened with screws, but when I tried to put them back on the screws wouldn't hold. It looks like the holes have worn out. There is nothing behind the sheetrock in many places. What can I use to refasten the tub moulding to the wall that will hold? Already tried filling holes with joint compound, but that didn't work.

Cool

Try molly bolts (they have spring-loaded wings that open after pushed through a wallboard hole and then grip the back of it).
You can find them in any hardware store.
Good Luck! Mike
