fasteners for 2x2's to a poured foundation
hi. can anybody tell me what type of fasteners I should use to mount 2x2 furring strips on a basement foundation wall (poured councrete)
also.. what type of fasteners should I use to secure 1/2"x1" furring strips along a ceiling with wood joists? (for future drywall ceiling)

Assuming the 2x2's ar a true 1-1/2" square, us 2" masonry nails - these are the round nails with a fluted shank.
For the firring strips, I'd use a #6x1-1/2 wood screw. You may have to predrill the strips to prevent splitting. And since you're going to be hanging drywall from it, I'd space them 12" apart, not 16" or 24".
