Removing kitchen cabinet

Please re-direct me if this is the wrong forum for this question.
I am trying to remove an old kitchen cabinet. Right now it appears to be held in place with 2 almost 4" long nails going through horizontal lengths of wood at the top and bottom of the cabinet. I removed bottom piece of wood with a crowbar. The top one is harder to get leverage on and I am afraid of damaging the wall. I cannot get at the nail itself because its sunk into the wood. Any thoughts on the best way to approach this?

Thank you,
sami

How about chiseling away the wood around the nail head. Normally I would just beat the crowbar into the wood with a hammer until it grabs the nail head but this may have repercussions on your wall behind the cabinet.
You may have to do some damage to the wall and then patch the dents when the cabinet is removed(if you are not covering the area with a new cabinet)
