bracing steel pole
I am putting in a 3 inch steel pipe for a clothes line. After it is cemented in what in a good way to brace it?

Maybe I should have been a little more explicit. If I'am putting a steel pole in cement, how should I brace it while waiting for the cement to harden.

Duh, as is sometimes said. I guess I should have figured that out.
If you have a couple of woodworking clamps (or large C-clamps) you could clamp a couple of 2 x 4s or 1 x 4s to the upper part of the pipe on opposite sides. The boards would have to be long enough to hit the ground about 3 feet away from the pole. Drive a stake in the ground where the boards hit (holding the pipe plumb) and run a screw from the stake into the brace board.
