Fixing Sole F63 Treadmill incline error
Hope this is the appropriate forum to post this question.
We negotiated with the previous owner of our home to leave some fitness equipment behind before we bought our new home last month. Among the items was a Sole F63 treadmill, I don't know which year it was made but am assuming it's not the most current one.
When turned on, the display says INITIALIZE and it inclines for several seconds, then reads 'INCLINE ERROR'. If I bypass that (by pressing Start) it otherwise functions correctly but will not decline with any of the controls. I looked online to see how to calibrate it. Doing so does cause it to decline for a few seconds (this is the only way to make it decline), and the belt runs but calibration eventually ends in a 'CHECK ERROR' message.
I tried checking where the incline control wire plugs into the PCB, but per what I've seen online it is plugged in the correct location (below right of the main ribbon), and doesn't seem to have a connection problem.
Would love to be able to get this problem resolved, any advice for this issue?

You can look online for shortcuts but I've been servicing equipment like this for a long time.
Most service manuals or service information must be purchased.
In a case like yours I'll pull out or isolate the incline motor and then connect a voltmeter to it to see if it's getting voltage. If it is... it can be a defective motor or damaged gearbox. If you don't get any voltage it leads you towards a control board issue. In particularly a defective relay.
Remember when servicing this equipment there are a lot of moving parts and pinch points.
You could contact Sole directly and see what they recommend.

Thanks for your response. Would it be incorrect to rule out the incline motor as the problem, since mechanically incline works correctly, and decline also does (briefly when I run the calibration)? Because if so this would isolate the issue to the control board / relay as you mention.
Also, since I wasn't the original owner I wouldn't know if incline is supposed to happen automatically during initialization when you turn it on for regular use. If not, could the issue also be the manual incline control (on the arm left of the main controls) being defective?
I think I'll take your advice and also contact Sole directly.
