Bruno SRE-3000 stair lift battery replacement

We recently replaced the batteries for our stair lift, however the batteries will not charge. I contacted the company on facebook to inquire as to what the troubleshooting steps would be, but they told me to contact the company we purchased it from. They don't sell them anymore. We have checked the connections and the charge fingers to make sure everything is in contact. Still no charge. We checked the battery charger itself and the light shows red, meaning that the AC is on, but no yellow, meaning it is charging. Could it be the charger is not working? Thank you for any help you can give on this subject.

 

I would start by going to the Bruno website and click on "find dealer." Find the closest one in your area and explain the problem along with the model # of your lift and how your former dealer is no longer in business.

 

Did you turn the circuit breaker off on the chair before changing the batteries ?
Did you turn it back on ?
Is the key switch on ?
Did you connect the 12v batteries in series ?
There is a 25A fuse in the black lead in addition to the circuit breaker.

Do you have a meter..... check for +24vDC on the charge rails.
