How hot do electric baseboard heaters get?

Can someone give me the maximum temperature an electric baseboard heater will achieve?
Many thanks!

What size heater is it? If you remove the covers you may find a rating on there probably in watts or kw.

volts and watts

The small heater (26") has a tag reading: 240/208 Volts, 500/375 Watts; one of the large ones (7') reads: 240/208 Volts, 1750/1312 Watts. Hope that helps.

Wink

If you mean will they burn. A cloth right on top of them will start a fire. Or a kilowatt is 3415 BTUs of heat.

They want to paint them. I can't get any clear answers on surface temps but I know we painted ours at work with and oil based enamel.
