Need Help with Tempstar Heat Pump

I've got a Tempstar Ultra High Efficiency 9000. Thermostat is working fine, and I can hear and feel the fan blowing inside the house, but only hot air is coming out. We turned it off completely at the thermostat for about 1/2 hour, then I went outside and listened while it was turned back on. I heard one loudish click coming from down near where the electrical lines etc. come into the unit, then a humming that seemed to come from that same area. The fan on top spins freely by hand, but doesn't move at all when the unit powers on. We've already called the technician, but, as it is Sunday, and we live in Phoenix, AZ, we would truly appreciate any ideas you all have on possible fixes.

Thanks a bunch! (they should have a smiley with sweat dripping off...)

P.S. Just went out and checked the breakers for the unit, and they were off. Reset them and turned the unit back on. Heard the same loud click, then sudden startup noise, then died. Breakers were back off...

Don't when the tech is coming but tripping breakers is never a good sign. Let us know what they find. All you can do with the power off is visually look for any burnt wires that might be shorting it out.
