Electric Furnace Costs

I was wondering if anyone knew how expensive it is to heat a house with an electric furnace. My wife and I put an offer on a house that has one and we are clueless as to the cost of electric vs. oil or gas. It is about a 2300 sq foot ranch house with new windows and a brand new magic air electric furnace. It looks like forced air. I was in the crawl space under the house and there are ducts running from the furnace to the different rooms in the house. It is central NJ so it gets pretty cold Dec. through Feb./March. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Usually you can contact the local electric company and get the utility bills for the last year.
