Baseboard heater not working-what to do?
The electric baseboard heater in my daughter's bedroom has stopped working. No adjustment to the "White-Rodgers" thermostat on the wall seems to help. I would like to fix the problem myself but I'm not sure where to begin. I do not do electrical repairs other than changing the odd plug, etc. I do own a pocket analog multimeter if I have to test a circuit, however, I'm a little inexperienced at that too.
I would appreciate some help from someone in-the-know.
Thanks

1st check the breaker panel and make sure it's turned on.
If it's all ok at the breaker panel then carefully remove the cover to the stat and test for voltage on both sides of it. Be careful since this is probably a line voltage stat.
