Electric Baseboard Watts/sq.ft.

I Recall Reading Somewhere That Most Building Departments Require A Certain Number Of Watts / Sq. Ft. When Installing Electric Baseboard, But Can't Recall The Number. Seems Like It Was 10 W/sq.ft. But I'm Not Sure. Anyone Know?

After many dead ends I finally found a good "rule of thumb" for watts/sq.ft. For those interested it's at: www.king-electric.com/wattage.htm

Thumbs down

Im sorry I dont see just what that has to do with the btu heat loss of a room. That dont tell me how much heat Im going to need there to keep it warm. You have to run a heat loss to be sure. not just if you have a r this and a window here not there. Then for what zone temp like 0 or -20 is this set up for didnt see that there.
