Another TStat wiring question
Replacing a Trane TA20 0 heat pump thermostat with a programmable RiteTemp 8050C heat pump thermostat. The terminal codes on the Trane are L B W2 O X R Y G E W3 (note there is no W).
It is wired with 8 leads as:
White to W2 (W2 is jump wired to E).
Pink to O
Blue to X
Red to R
Yellow to Y
Green to G
Grey to W3
Black not connected.
The terminal codes on the new RiteTemp are C W2 RC O B R W Y G A
If I am reading the instructions correctly the wiring should be:
Pink to O
Blue to C (instead of X)
Red to RC or RH (RC is jump wired to RH)
Yellow to Y
Green to G
But I am not sure how to wire the White and Grey wire, since I have a W and W2 on the new therm rather than W2/E and W3.
I have not looked at the actual heat pump handler wiring. That was going to be my next think to look at and see if it would help, but the air handler is taped up well and did not want to disturb the tape if I did not have to.
