OK, here's my deal, The wiring on my old themostat is way differentthen the new thermostat. On the original connections at the air controller (YORK Fan Unit). there's: R, Y, B, X, W, O, G, 53, 60, 66. "R, Y, B, X, W, O, G" have 2 wires connected and "53, 60, 66" have single wires connected. On the new themostat: W,Y,G,B,O,RC,RH,C. I figure X is C and W,Y,G,B and O are match up's. The R & the numbers are what's throwing me. If you guys can help me that would fantastic. Thanks! :wall:

I bought a house that has a very strange heating system in it. It has a huge 4ft.x3ft.x3ft gas forced air furnace in the basement. This furnace was supposed to heat the whole house by forcing heat up thru the floor to the entire house (apx. 1400 sq. ft). no ducts, just hot air coming up thru the floor. Doesn't work so well.... in additon I have electric baseboard heaters that are also horrible, they are attached to outside non insulated walls and I think they are kinda cheap. I want to install something new, but don't have the wall space for ducts in walls, and don't have a ton of cash to spend. I had heard a heat pump might be the way to go, but then was told here in the northeast it's not a good idea, they don't work well under 45 degrees. I saw a heat strip, but I am not sure how that is different from a heat pump. Basically i want to have a unit that is both heat and AC, doesn't cost me an arm and a leg in utility bills and i have a space issue. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't mind putting a hole in the ouside wall to install.
